a. Enable the students to understand the bad points of the junk food.Get the students to master the way of making a model.
3. Learning ability goals
a. Students will know how to keep a good diet.
b. By making an example students will learn a good way of checking information.
重点 By giving supplementary reading materials to supply the students with enough background information, and this will help them understand the text well.
Teach the students to pick out the opinion sentences and master the strategies of paragraph development.

Step1. Lead in
a. make the students talk about how to keep a good diet.
b. Background information(tell the students why so many people are fat than ever.)

Step2. Pre-reading
Discuss the questions from pre-reading part.
Step 3 Scan the text
Two students act out a dialogue and show the misunderstanding between them. Then the students scan the text to find out the misunderstanding.
Step4 Fast reading
Get the main idea of each paragraph. Pay attention to the first and last sentence
They can have a discussion.

2 What percent of Americans are overweight?
3 What does Michel mean by saying “it will be a passport to a new feeling of vitality”
Step7 Homework
1. Preview word study and grammar parts.
2. build the structures of each paragraph by referring to the sample below

课后小节
Sometimes the instruction is not clear enough that the students can not understand what they were required to do. The students who acted out the dialogue did not do well. New words that students should look up in the dictionary could not be noted down in their books.They could not keep on after class.Those are what need to be improved.
