Teaching process:
Lesson 29
Step 1: A competition:
1) Ask them to work in groups to recall the names food which they learnt to LA in the past.
2) Fill in the tables with the names of foods as many as they can in a limited tome. See which group can get more
vegetables meet fruits drinks others

Step 2: Ss listen to the dialogue and underline the words of food which they hear
Step 3: Ss listen to the dialogue again and repeat
Step 4: Language points:
1). Compare: Do you like tea? Yes, I do. No. I don’t.
Would you like a cup of tea?(Do you want a cup of tea now?)
Yes, please. No, thanks.
2)What a delicious supper!
What a great lunch!
(but What wonderful weather!)
Step 5: Language study: How to use measure words
1) Get the Ss to match the correct phrases in the tables orally in pairs.
2) Get the Ss to read the phrase as quickly as possible one by one.
Step 6: Oral practice:(Pare 3)
Pair work. Take turn to offer each other the food in Part 2 in pairs
Step 7: Wb Lesson 29 Ex1,2,3 may be done now.
Lesson 30
Step 1: Listen to the text and try to match the time to the events(once or twice)

By 1555 Columbus discovered America
In the 17th century Corn was brought to China
In 1949 Corn had become important in China.

Today Corn is found all over the world
Step 2: Ss read the text carefully and then do Ex 1 in Wb. on Page 91
Step 3: Listen and repeat (optional)
Step 4: Language points:
1). discover v.

Lesson 31
Step 1: Revise Lesson30 by answering the questions on Page 31 ,Part 1
Step 2: Revise the passive voice (Some extra Ex can be used)
Step 3: Pairwork Make sentence from the two tables
Step 4: Practice Join these pairs of sentences using who/that/which
(Some examples should be shown them first)
Step 5: Finish off the workbook exercises.
Lesson 32
Step 1: Listening
Step 2: Word study
Step 3: Writing ( decompose each instruction into two sentences first and then change them into attributive clauses)
Step 4: Finish off the rest exercises in Wb.
