一. 教材分析 1. 本节课的内容是北师大版Module 5 Unit15 Lesson 1 Life-long Learning。 2. 本课属于阅读课,对学生的阅读水平有一定的要求。由于大部分学生的英语基础较薄弱,本课对他们而言还是存着一定的难度。因此讲解时应化繁为简,由易到难,并注重阅读技巧的渗透。 二. 学生分析 1.学生特点,和对本学科学习的情感表现:学生英语基础较薄弱,班上存在着一部分学习较积极的同学,特别是女生表现相对较好。但是这部分学生的学习状态也很不稳定,需要老师在课堂和课后实行有效的监督。此外,大部分男生的学习目的不明确,课堂上懒于动口,动笔,无法跟上正常的教学进度。 2. 在语言实践活动中,由于学生基础较薄弱,要求学生用英语进行思维和表达,有一定的难度。 3.学生的学习策略和其他技能:高二的学生已初步具备用英语获取信息、处理信息、分析问题和解决问题的综合能力,但需进一步的提高。 三.教学目标 1.语言知识目标: A.词汇和短语 frankly speaking;lay off;suspect;statues;go up; in person; switch off; set up a company; fail the exam B.重点句子 1)Now I am about to graduate from the School of Continuing Education at Qinghua University with a Bachelor’ Degree in Computer Engineering by distance Learning. 2)I felt as if I had done something wrong. 2.语言技能目标: 1)提高从文章中获取主要信息,并进行分析、推理和判断的能力。 2)积极参与语言实践活动,提高用英语进行思维和表达的能力。 3.知识能力目标: 1)通过阅读训练,传授阅读技巧,提升学生的阅读能力。 2)提高学生用英语进行思维和表达的能力。 4.情感目标: 1)关注学生在学习中的情感态度变化,引导学生形成乐于与他人合作,具有和谐与健康向上的品格。 2)掌握有效的学习策略,学会独立获取信息和资源,并能整理、分析和总结,从而充实生活。 3)使学生了解终身学习的重要性,培养学生终身学习的意识。 5.重点与难点: 1)如何让学生在阅读活动中获取信息,理解全文。 2)在语言实践活动中,由于学生基础较薄弱,要求学生用英语进行思维和表达,有一定的难度。 四.教学设计理念与策略 1.教学设计理念:1)采用任务型语言教学。 2)采用激发主体兴趣的教学模式。 3)运用合作学习的方法。 2.教学策略: 1)Fast reading to get general idea. 2) Careful reading to get detailed information. 3) Group work after reading to make students understand what they have learned better. PPT,computer, 六.教学过程 Step1 Lead-in Look at some pictures and lead in the new lesson T:Who can you see in the picture?And what are they doing? S: … T:So we can know that“Learning does not stop as long as a man lives, unless his learning power atrophies because he does not use it.” (通过图片小孩,中学生,老人三个阶段年龄层的人的学习,再借助相关的名言引入本课的主题:Life-long Learning, 让学生把注意力集中到本课上.) Step 2 Pre-reading Translate the following phrases and expressions into Chinese. 1 college entrance exam 2 be about to do sth 3 frankly speaking 4 lay off 5 go up 6 in person 7 switch off 8 set up a company 9 fail the exam (对课文的重点短语进行翻译,以帮助学生更容易理解课文。) Step3 Fast-reading Tast 1 Read the text quickly,decide the statements are true or false. If it is false, how to correct them. 1 Sun Wen is now studying in Qinghua University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering. 2 In the past, if someone failed the college entrance exam, he would have no chance of getting a degree. 3 In recent year, if someone had worked for a company for over 20 year, they could stay there until retirement. 4 Later, Ms Tang thought it a good thing that she was laid off. 5 Grandpa Chen thought the saying “You can’t teach an old dog new trick” true. 6 It was grandpa Chen’ daughter who instructed him on how to how to email. Tast 2 Check the answers: F,T,F,T,F (快速阅读环节中的问题可以比较简单,有助于培养学生的快速阅读技巧和获取文章整体信息的能力,达到理解课文表层意思的目的.) (细读环节重在捕捉重要的信息,加大信息量,从而帮助学生对课文有更深的了解) Step 5 Post-reading What can we learn from this lesson? 1 graduation doesn't means the end of learning. 2 With the development of our society, the lifelong education becomes more and more importent,so we must keep on learning. 3 There are various ways to go on learning, for example, we can learn by disatance learning, or we can join some evening classes to learn new contents. (对课文进行总结,是学生了解终身学习的重要性,培养学生终身学习的意识。) Step 6 Homework Finish exercise 5 in page 37 (让学生通过对课文的学习和理解,能够学以致用,用所学的相关词汇和短语进行操练。) |
