Adjectives to describe personality
Teaching analysis:
Text analysis:
In this unit, we talk about “getting along with others”. So knowing others’ personality is so important to get along with others. What’s more, personality is a common topic. Each time we talk about others, we’ll mention his/her personality, so how to use the adjectives to describe personality is practical and useful. Students would like to take part in the class positively.
Students analysis:  
To the students in senior grade two, they have known a lot of adjectives about personality, so they can describe people’s personality in some easy words, and they will be interested in this topic.
Teaching designing idea:
This part is word power, the task for me is to enlarge their vocabulary about the personality, and make students know the significance of the personality to their lives. Make the words really powerful!

Know some words about personalities.
Recognize positive and negative adjectives that describe personalities.
Ability aims:
be able to Talk about other’s personality freely.
Be able to get other’s personality from different aspects.

Realize that the importance of personality to one’s life.

Step1 Lead-in and warm up
Introduce myself to the students, and ask them what they think about me.
Share a short video (Journey to the west) with them, and ask them their opinions about the main roles/ who they like or dislike/ why?
Step2 Presentation
Describe some familiar people; let students know more adjectives to describe personality.
Let the students know them deeply by reading them.
Step3 Competition
Design a guessing game to make students put what they learned just now into practice.
Give them some guys’ personalities, and then ask them who he/she is.
Show some people on the screen, and then ask them to give adjectives about personality, the more the better.
Make students describe a person around them, and then let others guess who he/she is.
Step4 Activities and Discussion
Ask students to fill in fact sheets with some sentences about personality in groups of five or six; a reporter will be invited to analyze the present young people like themselves.
Positive personality is so important to our life and our future, so what should we do if we want to have a beautiful life and good future?
Also ask students to fill in fact sheets with some sentences about personality in each group.
Step5 Conclusion
1. A famous proverb: Personality decides destiny.
We should form some positive personalities and get rid of negative personalities to make our lives more beautiful and successful
2. Sing a song, whose lyrics are written by my self to conclude this class, as a gift to all the people.
Step6 Homework
After class, please try using what we have learned today to describe people around you.
