Teaching Plan Lesson 58 Unit 15 Book 2 Teacher: Shu Hehua School: No.3 Middle School ,Danyang Time: February 4th,2004 Teaching aims: 1. Develop the students’abilities of listening,speaking and reading 2. Learn the new words and phrases 3. Master the use of five drills Teaching aids: a tape recorder,some slides for shows, exercises for Lesson 58,pictures Teaching Procedures: Step 1: A Free talk Step 2: Revision 1. Revise the names of the food and tableware in Lesson 57 2. Revise the dialogues of Lesson 57 Step 2: Presentation 1. Draw this table on the Bb : Li Lei Jim Ann 1) chicken tomatoes grapes 2) pork peas apples 3) beef carrots oranges 2. Get the students to listen and repeat the sentences. Ask : Which does Ann like better,Oranges or grapes? Which does she like best? Step 3 : Reading 1. Look at the picture and ask : What kind of food do you see? What countries do these foods come from ? 2. Ask : What’s the most popule food in the world? 3. Play the tape for the ss to practise reading aloud. 4. Discuss the passage,ask “What’s your favourite Chinese food? Step 6: Ask and answer 1. A: I think pork/rice is very popular in China. Do you agree? B : I don’t really agree / I really don’t agree. 2. Get the ss to ask each other questions using different food words Step 7: Important phrases 1. fast food / hot food / take-away food 2. favourite 1) adj. its favourite food 2) n. my favourite 3. one of the most popule kinds of food 4. fish and chips 作主语，谓语用单数；作定语chip不加s, a fish and chip shop 5. paper bags / a paper bag 6. take it home / take sb./sth. to…. 7. the world’s favouurite food 8. It seems /seemed that+从句。= Sb/ Sth. seems/seemed to do… 9.
