Knock on wood :这个短语的意思是指人们用手指敲打木头来企盼幸运降临.在英国,也可以用 "touch wood "来表示盼望有好运.
例句:
A: I'm hoping to get an "A" in my naths test.
B: Knock on wood (Touch wood), so am I.
All good things come to those who wait: 只要耐心等待,好运终将来临.
例句:
A: It's been two days since that big company has contacted me.Why haven't they called?
B: Take it easy .All good things come to those who wait.
Lucky dog :在英语中,dog常常用来指人,并且大部分为褒义的哟,所以这里就是"幸运儿"的意思了.
例句:
A: John has just won the lottery.
B: He's a lucky dog.
Lucky break:幸运,称心如意
例句:
A: I thought you didn't have any money.

On a roll 指:"连续获胜中,连续交好运"呵呵~~是大家都企盼的东东哟.

例句:
A: How are things with your new girlfriend?
B: Since I meet Tina,life is wonderful .Everything's coming up roses.
As luck would have it : 非常幸运地
例句:
A: What happen when you got there?
B: By the time we arrived ,as luck would have it ,the fight was over.
In a pickle:处于非常困难地境地.
例句:
A: You look like you are in a pickle.How did you get your hand stuck in that hole?
B: I was trying to fix the drain.
Bad hair day:运气不佳,不走运.
例句:
A: Since I got out of bed this morning. nothing is going right.
B: It looks like you're having a bad hair day.
Tough/hard luck坏运气,霉运
例句:
A: I betted $100 for England to win the World Cup.
B: That's tough luck for you.They lost.
Down on one's luck俚语用法:倒霉地,不走运的
例句:
A: I have heard that Bill has no money or job.
B: Yes,that's right.He's really down on his luck.
It never rains but it pours.:字面意思:不雨则已.一雨倾盆.也就是"祸不单行"的意思.
例句:
A:So you had your car broken in to,then you crashed it?
B:Yes,I had a terrible day.You know what they say: It never rains but it pours.
