作者:孙国良 When people in Britain, America and Canada have their birthdays, they often have birthday parties. They celebrate their birthdays together with their families and friends. They will get greetings and birthday presents from them. The person who has his birthday will send invitation cards to his friends; there is the time and the place of the party in the cards. His friends will bring birthday cards and birthday presents to him, saying, "Happy birthday" to the host(主人). The host will prepare(准备)a lot of delicious food for the guests, such as cookies, sandwiches and birthday cakes. When the host blows out the candles, he always makes a wish. At the party, there will be all kinds of games played. Birthdays are celebrated differently in different parts of the world. In Ireland(爱尔兰), people hold their children upside down and bump them on the ground gently, bumping them as many times as their age. In Argentina(阿根廷), when children have their birthdays, people will pull their ears gently, again as many times as their age. In the Philippines(菲律宾), if someone has his birthday, people will hang colourful lights outside his door. In Russia(俄罗斯), people who have their birthdays will eat pies instead of birthday cakes. 相关链接:教学论文
