(Period 1) 一、 Contents of the lesson: Topic: Parts 1, 2 of Lesson 10 Content: Book 3A, a dialogue, nine new words, and two phrases 二、 Type of the lesson A new lesson 三、 Aims of the lesson 1. To learn to how to offer, accept and refuse food. 2. To learn the different eating cultures between China and western countries. 四、 The key points of the lesson 1. The students can use the following words and expressions in communication: later, meal, soup, still, try, help yourself 2. The students know how to offer, accept and refuse food. 五、 The difficult points of the lesson The students know how to offer, accept and refuse food. 六、 Procedures 1、 Revision (5 minutes) Give information on the screen and ask the students to act the dialogue in Lesson 9 2、 Presentation (2 minutes) Ask the students to look at the picture on page 26 and guess what they are doing? 3、 Listening (5 minutes) Ask the students to listen to the radio and ask them to take down the food they hear in the radio. 4、 Culture study 1 (6 minutes) Tell the students what order the western people will have their meal. Acquaint them with the concept: soup, main course, and dessert 5、 Functional study (6 minutes) Ask the students to write down the phrases or sentences they will use when they have a dinner. 6、 Culture study 2 (12 minutes) Ask the students to find out the differences of eating culture between China and western countries. Introduce the western tableware to the students. 7、 Homework assignment (2 minutes) Write a passage about the differences between Chinese eating culture and western eating culture, no less than 100 words. 七、 Multi-media: Book 3A, board, powerpoint Lesson 10 (Period 2 ) 一、 Contents of the lesson: Topic: Parts3, 4, 4.1 of Lesson 9 Content: Book 3A, a list, eleven new words, and one phrases 二、 Type of the lesson A new lesson 三、 Aims of the lesson 1. To learn reflexive pronoun 2. To learn more about the eating cultures in different countries. 四、 The key points of the lesson The students learn how to use reflexive pronouns 五、 The difficult points of the lesson The students learn how to use reflexive pronouns 六、 Procedures 1、 Revision (5 minutes) Ask the students to review the differences between Chinese eating culture and the western eating culture. 2、 Reading (8 minutes) Ask the students to read the text and do the True or False questions. 3、 Grammar point (15 minutes) To teach the use of reflexive pronouns and some phrases like in different ways, hot, etc. 4、 Practice (10 minutes) Ask the students to read some paragraphs on the screen and do the guess work. 5、 Homework assignment (2 minutes) To read the form and work out the rules of pronouns. 七、 Multi-media: Book 3A, board, powerpoint |
