Poem without a Title by Li Shangyin
　　无题 李商隐
　　It's difficult for us to meet and hard to part,The east wind is too weak
to revive flowers dead.The silkworm till its death spins silk from love-sick
heart;The candle only when burned has no tears* to shed.At dawn she'd be
afraid to see mirrored hair gray;At night she would feel cold while I croon by
moonlight.To the three fairy hills it is not a long way.Without the blue-bird
oft fly to see her on their height?　
Note: The melted wax of a guttering candle is compared to tears.
　　相见时难别亦难，
东风无力百花残。
　　春蚕到死丝方尽，
　　蜡炬成灰泪始干。
　　晓镜但愁云鬓改，
　　夜吟应觉月光寒。
　　蓬莱此去无多路，
　　青鸟殷勤为探看。
熔化的蜡比作眼泪。
To My Love by Zhang Bi

　　When you're gone, in my dream I lingered you know where,
　　The court still seemed the same with zigzag rails around.

　　It drizzles endlessly during the rainy season in spring,
　　Travelers along the road look gloomy and miserable.
　　When I ask a shepherd boy where I can find a tavern,
　　He points at a distant hamlet nestling amidst apricot blossoms.

　　Idly I watch the cassia petals fall;
　　Silent the night and empty the spring hills;
　　The rising moon startles the mountain birds;
　　Which twitter fitfully in the spring gully.

The Bamboo Lodge

　　Seated alone by shadowy bamboos,
　　I strum my lyre and laugh aloud;
　　None knows that I am here, deep in the woods;
　　Only the bright moon comes to shine on me.

　　独 坐 幽 篁 里，
　　弹 琴 复 长 啸。
　　深 林 人 不 知，

THE YELLOW CRANE TERRACE－－Cui Hao
Where long ago a yellow crane bore a sage to heaven,
Nothing is left now but the Yellow Crane Terrace.
The yellow crane never revisited earth,
And white clouds are flying without him for ever.
...Every tree in Hanyang becomes clear in the water,
And Parrot Island is a nest of sweet grasses;
But I look toward home, and twilight grows dark
With a mist of grief on the river waves.
