A Teaching Plan For Unit 4 I want to be an actor. 一、教案设计思路: “There are three hundred and sixty trades,and every trade has its master.”(三百六十行;行行出状元),面对日趋紧张的就业压力和竞争,理想和现实的冲突和选择;青年学生何去何从?通过本单元的语言学习和课堂交际活动,了解就业行情, 学会谈论自己与他人的职业;谈论自己或他人的职业理想并陈述原因;学会看懂和书写英文招聘启事和求职供求信息,是教会学生初步学会生存本领,了解社会的基本要求。 二、本单元教学目标 1. 学会谈论自己与他人的职业; 2. 谈论自己或他人将来想从事的职业并陈述原因; 3. 引导学生初步学习动词的一般现在时态; 4. 培养学生人际交往、逻辑表达及内省等多元智能; 5. 培养学生自主学习的学习策略和推测词义的思维技巧。 Topic:Occupations Functions:Talk about jobs Structures: 1)Where/What questions 2)Present tense :to want;to work. Affirmative and negative statements Target Language: 1. Q:What does he do?(=What’s he?/What’s his job?) A:He’s a waiter(….) 2. Q:What do you want to be? (when you grow up/leave school/in the future) A:I want to be an actor. 3. Where does she work? She works at a bank. Learning Strategies: 1) Personalizing. 2) Inferring vocabulary 三、The Second Period教学过程 (Teaching Procedure)Main Steps: Step One: Warming-up Greetings Teacher and students ask and answer freely. Step Two:Students’ duty report: (Make a dialogue ordering a pizza on the phone) Step Three:A guessing game:What’s the job? (Gestures and facial expressings/with the aid of cartoon figures) Step Four:Form Four of Pre-task(Occupations &Working places) Show some of their work on the screen. Step Five: Listening and number the people in P.1a. Qs:Who’s the reporter/the doctor/the sales assistant? Step Six:Pair Work(Ss into pairs/groups practise the following dialogue, with the help of the pictures and key words:) Model: A:What does he do? B:He’s a doctor. A:Where does he work? B:I think he works in a hospital. Step Seven: Presentation of “What do I want to be?”Listen and fill in the chart of 2a&2b T:What do I do? Ss:You are a teacher. T:But I want to be a student again. Ss:Why(do you want to be a student again)? T:Because I want to be younger again. Homework Assignment 家庭作业 1.Preview Section B. Finish off Exercises 1a,3a,3b in your textbook. 2.Complete Form 2 : A Group Survey. 4. Write a short passage about your ideal job and tell us the reason. ( at least 5 sentences ) Blackboard design:(板书设计) Q: What do you do? A:I’m a student. =What’s your job? =What line are you in? Q:What does he/she do?
