常州市武进区运村中学 王 蔚 一、内容简介: 该课为修订版JEFC第二册《Unit 3》的补充和延伸,主要让学生对我国的传统节日中秋节有一个较为全面和深层的了解。该单元的内容虽然对中秋有所提及, 但偏重语法知识的训练,对有助于学生文化理解的背景知识铺展略显不足,使学生无法深入理解和感受到中国传统文化的魅力。因此设计了该堂研究性学习课,让学生在掌握Unit3基础知识的前提下进行一次网络探究,借助专题学习网站和Internet进行自主学习。 二、教学目的: ①通过上网搜索和探究有关中秋节的知识,培养学生获取信息、处理信息以及表达的能力。 ②培养学生运用Powerpoint等平台发表观点等技能。 三、教学重、难点: 教学重点:通过对中秋节相关知识的探究,使学生感受网络学习的新理念,培养个体探究及协作互助的优秀品质。 本课的难点来自两个方面:一是学生的语言和信息技术问题,初二的学生英语水平不高,信息能力也不是很理想,因此要完成这样的探究对他们来说是挑战。二是观念问题,“网络学习”和“研究性学习”对于农村学生来说都是新概念,如何转变观念,调整和变革自己的学习方式和策略又是本课的另一突破口。 四、课前准备: 教师: 1、准备好学生搜集材料的相关网站,制作一个能导引学生顺利开展探究的专题学习网站。 2、申请一个留言板方便学生交流信息,并直接与专题网站链接。 3、将学生分成8组,每组四人,要求他们按照各自的特长和兴趣选择组内的角色并适当进行一些技术训练和指导。 学生: 1、初步学习使用Powerpoint发表观点的方法和窍门。(学生在信息技术课上已学过了基本方法,教师的专题学习网站上也有相关的链接页面指点。) 2、学习用帖子发表观点。(要用本名) 3、每组同学经过讨论选取本组将要研究的问题,并制定研究方案。 4、在本机电脑的E盘中建立文件夹,供搜集材料用。 五、学习过程: 本课的专题学习网站借用WebQuest的设计理念。这是因为Webquest作为一种网络教学的工具,能充分体现建构主义的教育理念,并且它所提供的模板流程清晰明了,便于学生和老师操作。问题采用“拾荒式”探究的办法,利于学生迅速地筛选和获取信息,准确地鉴别信息的真伪。 1、引言(Introduction) Tom is a boy from the USA. His parents are working in China now. Next year he will come to China to study here. Now he's doing a class project(课程计划) about China. He gave me an email last week. He said he wanted to know something about our Mid-autumn Festival. Could you please give me a hand and tell him about it? (汤姆是一个美国男孩。他的父母亲现在中国工作。明年他也将要来中国读书。所以他正忙着做课程准备。上星期他给我发了一封电子邮件。他说他想了解有关我国中秋的知识,并问了许多的问题,你能帮我一起来答复他吗?) 2、任务(Task) 1.To confirm(确定) your partners, make sure that you like this group, think of an English name for your group. Choose an actor in your group as Organizer(管理员),Translator(翻译), Editor(编辑) and Journalist depending on your strong suit and interest. As a translator you should learn to express your ideas in English with the words and phrases we learnt before, and if you meet new words you can also use the dictionary online to help you. As an Editor, first you should learn how to make a ppt file.Then try to design and make your ppt works as beautifully as you can. If you haven't known the skill of Powerpoint, you may click here for help. As a Journalist, you should first make a plan for your research(调查). Search slight materials(搜索详尽的资料) from the internet, and keep them your computer. Form the materials and write out the report of your topic. (首先你们根据平时的相互了解确定分组,为你们的小组取个英文名上报老师,在你们的小组成果里署上你们的英文名字,各人根据自己的特长和爱好进行小组分工,老师给你们的建议是:你们需要一个管理员、一个记者、一个编辑和一个翻译。 管理员必须能善于协调各成员之间的关系,对每一步行动要精心组织分配,以保证研究的顺利进行。 记者要根据你们小组的选题,善于利用网络或其它手段搜集尽可能详尽的资料,并对这些资料进行整合和归类,然后拟订成果汇报的方案。 作为编辑首先要擅长使用Powerpoint,然后尽快设计和制作出你们的成果作品来。 翻译要善于运用学过的词汇和句型表达信息,并善于借助各类翻译软件学习新词。) 2.To discuss in groups and choose one of the topics for your group's study subject. After you have finished your study, report it by ppt: Topic One: The History(起源) and Custom(习俗) of the Festival Topic Two: The Beautiful stories of the Festival Topic Three: The Special Food of the Festival Topic Four: What did people do in the past when they couldn't get together with their families? However what do people usually do now? (小组讨论选择以下的其中一个主题进行探究,并用ppt演示文稿展示研究成果。话题一:中秋的起源和习俗。/ 话题二:中秋的传说。/ 话题三:中秋饮食文化探究。/ 话题四:当“月圆人不圆时”古今不同人物的不同作派比较。) 3. After you have a particular(全面的) knowing about the Mid-autumn Festival. Would you please write a short passage to tell Tom about it? You may paste(粘贴) it into the BBS.
