Pre-reading Task 1 Brainstorm Ask the students to guess what are the possible topics that may be discussed during the Earth Summit. This is a free talk. The students can raise any topic that they are interested in. And also ask then to say something about the results of the conferences. B. Reading Task 1 Skimming Get students to read the passage carefully and try to find the general idea of each paragraph. Task 2 Scanning Get students to scan the text and find the detailed information about the Earth Summit.. 1. When and where was the first Earth Summit held? 2.
