I. Teaching Contents 教学内容 Module 4 Unit one Welcome to unit and Reading: Advertisement II. Design of Teaching Objectives 教学目标设计 1.Knowledge objectives 知识目标 素质培养:让学生了解广告的定义,广告的种类——商业广告和公益广告,以及各种广告的目的,向学生指明对待广告应持有的态度。 语言知识:学习本课出现的新的语言点 主要词汇: advertisement, original, nationwide, campaign, slogan, toothpaste, comment, complete etc 主要短语:fall for, commit suicide, be aware of, be used to, play tricks on etc 主要句型:A commercial advertisement is one which someone has paid for to promote a product or service. 2.Ability objective能力目标 Improve the students’ reading ability through reading activities.(通过阅读活动提高学生的阅读理解能力。) 3.Affective objectives 情感价值目标 通过学习广告的相关内容,让学生尝试制作一个公益广告,从而了解公益广告的意义。 III. Teaching Important Points(教学重点) 1. 教学目标中的词汇和句型。 2. 通过阅读练习的处理提高学生的阅读理解能力。 IV. Teaching Difficult Points(教学难点) 1. 学会并掌握阅读说明类文章的阅读技巧 2. 陈述对广告的不同观点及所支持的原因 V. Teaching procedures (教学程序) Step I Lead in 幻灯显示 “What are these pictures used for?” 学生独立思考后回答 目的:1. 了解学生对广告的认识程度 2. 激发学生探究问题的兴趣 Step II pre-reading 幻灯显示 What’s the purpose of the two advertisements? 分别展示多幅公益广告及商业广告的图片。 目的: 1. 学习了解生活中的一些广告的类型。 2. 引入阅读主题 Step III. While-reading 1. 接Step II 后,Teacher: How many types of advertisements are there? What are they? After students’ answering, teacher show them some pictures, and ask them what these advertisements are. 1.What is an advertisement? 2. Where are the advertisements most commonly found? 3. What is the difference between commercial advertisements and public service advertisements(PSAs) ? 要求学生跳读并快速找到答案 2.细节阅读---Listening ①Listen to paragraph 2 and finish Multiple choices 1) Which ad doesn’t really tell the truth according to the text? D A Persuasive B Creative C attractive D actual 要求学生听完相关信息后,寻找相关信息 目的:训练学生快速查读细节、捕捉信息的能力。 3. 细节阅读② 要求学生再次认真阅读短文 检查学生是否正确把握住文章的 关键信息 Types of ads Similarities differences Examples Places found Methods used purposes validity Commercial ads Billboards, newspapers, magazines, the Internet, radio, television Persuasive language, exciting images To promote a product or service They do not tell you the complete truth. ‘Bright-teeth fights bad breath!’ ‘You are proud of your cooking, so shouldn’t you buy the very freshest food?’ PSAs To educate people about health, safety or any other issue which affects public welfare They are helpful and we can learn a lot by following the advice they give. ‘Yes to life, no to drugs’ ‘Knowledge changes life’ ‘Project Hope—schooling every child’ ‘smoking is committing suicide slowly’ 4.Read the third part and analyze the format of the third part What is the subject of this part? What information support this idea? What is the conclusion? 要求学生按照Reading Strategy指导,从整体把握课文。 Advertisements are just like the third hand of a thief whose targets are your purses. What’s your opinions about the ads in our life now? Step IV Post-reading 要求学生小组合作,根据一小段视频制作一份公益广告,给学生提供一些具体的要求以降低难度。 Let’s take part in the design of a famous advertisement Please use one or two sentences to promote the theme of the advertisement. Try to make your sentences attractive, creative, and persuasive . Conclusion: The ads play an important part in our daily life. They are necessary and helpful, but we should be smart about them. Step V Homework 1 Finish the article on Page 95. 2 Read the article and list the difficult language points on your notebook. 教学反思 这堂课基本做到了把课堂让给学生,让学生在自主、合作、探究的气氛中愉快度过,既顺利完成教学任务,又促进其情感教育。教学中融入了素质教育,且使学生在趣味中学得了知识,这也是目前提倡的教育教学理念。 我感到多媒体教学用于英语阅读教学有很多好处:首先,可以激发学生的学习兴趣,直观、生动的图片、动画使得学生更容易进入学习状态,把学生从枯燥的课堂解放 ,有利于师生的互动, 能更好地实现教师的教学意图。其次,多媒体课的容量大,因此,教师可以把原来花在板书的时间用于指导学生,或设计一些多样的题型。 教学内容设计要符合本班学生的实际情况,难度适中,尽量满足不同类型和不同层次学生的要求。在任务的设置中应充分考虑学生是否能够完成。本堂课的细节理解部分难度合适,大多数学生都能顺利完成。 我认为在教学中只有师生处于平等地位,学生的主体性才能得到发挥;只有使课堂交际化,师生才能融合在智力与情感的交际过程中,才能激起学生积极求知的学习欲望。 但是,我觉得这一节课还有一些缺憾。 一是多媒体教室的特点限制了”team work”(团队活动)的开展,无法给予学生团队意识的培养。以后要多与其他教师探讨这个问题。 二是内容多,时间紧,没有时间进一步收集学生的学习反馈,无法准确地评定教学效果。以后要给学生留出一点提问的时间,以便更好地把握教学结果。 三是词汇应用的练习量仍然有点少,覆盖面不够。以后要注意课件设计的合理性。 |
