·¶ÎÄ£º April 10th, 2008 Dear Editor of China Daily, I am a middle school student, and I¡¯d like to tell you what I have seen outside our shool. Some pedlars sell vegetables, fruit, fish, meat, and so on around our school and they even make oral advertisements to draw the passers-by¡¯s attention. As we all know, it is important for us to have a quiet place to study, but we can hear the noises in our classrooms and can¡¯t listen to our teachers clearly. Besides, they also make the streets dirty, smelly and crowded. So I write to you in order to get the situation improved. At the same time I suggest that the government should take measures to keep the market under strict control. Do you agree with me, dear editor? Yours, Li Hua

·¶ÎÄ£º Great Changes The Jin Ping Mountain is a place of interest. There are lots of tourists seeing sights every day. Years ago, some of the tourists paid no attention to environmental protection. They not only threw about wastepaper, plastic bags and tins, but also killed animals, caught birds, destroyed trees and flowers. Worse still, they often made a fire to cook in the forest, which was dangerous. But now, all the tourists not only carry their lunch in order not to start forest fire, but when they leave, they take away rubbish with them. They no longer hunt animals and plants are also protected. We must sing high praise for the good deeds.

·¶ÎÄ£º Reading Interest of Senior Middle School Students Recently a survey has been done to find out the reading interests of senior middle school students. In this survey, one thousand senior middle school students from ten schools in Hubei Province were interviewed. They were asked which they liked reading most among the four categories of English articles: news, stories, popular science articles and articles about learning methods. The survey shows that more than half of the students like to read news most, and twenty-six percent of the students are most interested in reading articles about learning methods. However, the number of the students who enjoy reading popular science articles doubles that of those who prefer reading articles about learning methods.
