中考英语•写作技能（No.0001） We should make Shaoyang better and better （湖南省隆回县石门中学 徐善海） As we know, our China has got richer, stronger and more beautiful since 1978. We are proud of it as a Chinese. We hope everywhere in China should be rich. However, our Shaoyang is still a developing city . To be honest, it seems that it doesn’t catch up with the others cities now. In order to change the poor and backward looks (贫穷落后的面貌), we should try our best to construct the developing city in all best ways. As a high school student of Grade 9, I will give some advice about “ Let’s talk about how to make Shaoyang develop rapidly”. 1. We should realize the importance of it. It’s our duty to construct a rich, clean, beautiful and harmony city in Shaoyang. 2. We should change our study ways. We should enjoy studying instead of study hard. We should be a master of study. With the help of the reform in classroom, we have got the best harvest. We can study happily and grow up healthily. 3. We should urge that everyone in Shaoyang takes an active part in to keep our environment clean. In order to build a city with green mountains and clean water, we’re supposed to plant a lot more trees and clean the streets, the parks and the river banks as volunteers. At school, we’re supposed to clean up our school yard and keep it clean. 4. We should get on well with classmates, teachers，our parents and others. We are supposed to respect others, be good to the old and the disable and help the people in trouble. Our final aim is to build a happy and harmony society.
5. We hope that our peasants in Shaoyang get rid of poverty and become richer and richer. If our CPC and government offer a lot of money from the banks to the peasants who will open up factories, grow fruit and tobaccos and feed pigs, they will make a lot of money by their hard-working labor. We also hope that our governments encourage the peasants to take lessons on how to be a modern and good peasant. In a word, our students should try our best to construct our Shaoyang. I am sure that it will have a bright future and we can live a good life.
