中考英语•写作技能 （ No.0002 ） My School Life （湖南省隆回县石门中学 徐善海 ） There is a small and beautiful high school at the foot of a small hill. This is Shimen High School. It’s a modern and garden school where I have studied happily for three years. How happy, interesting, busy, nervous, meaningful, colorful and wonderful my school life is! I get up on time every morning on weekdays. After getting up, we’re supposed to clean our dormitories besides brushing teeth and washing faces. Then, we are in a hurry to rush to the playground to do morning exercises. We all recite three-character scripture ( 三字经 ) loudly before doing morning exercise. At first, I find it boring to recite it. Later, I find out why our school leaders urge us to read and recite it. They hope that we will be a kind and useful person to construct our motherland. How meaningful it is! After doing morning exercises, some students are busy cleaning our campus. I clean it carefully every time and make it clean. Sometimes, when I see my classmate cleaning it on rainy morning, I walk to him with an umbrella. I feel happy when he smiles to me and say “Many thanks” to me. As you know, some students are cleaning the school campus, some are playing sports, such paying ping-pong, paying basketball and skipping. I often join us. How we have fun doing sports before class. We have ten classes every day. In the morning, we have four classes. And four classes in the afternoon. And two classes in the evening. Maybe you will think we are too busy, but I don’t think so. Thanks to the reform in classroom in our school this term, we have had fun studying in groups. I used to be lazy, shy and quite, now I can get on well with others and study confidently with the help of our English teacher and politics teacher. How humorous, patient and kind he is! I take an active part in discussing a lot of questions and get out my ways to solve by myself. I become more polite and more outgoing. I also learn how to give.
The extracurricular activities in our school are very colorful and wonderful. After finish doing exercise between classes, we’re happy to dance rabbit dancing. Everyone isn’t shy any more. We feel very happy and excited. In the afternoon, we can join the English Corner to practice English. We’re allowed to sing and dance free after school. Every afternoon, a lot of students play games behind the teaching building to relax themselves. I like walking with my best friend along the long and green woods. We laugh, sing and chat around borders ( 花坛 ). How we have a wonderful time!
