whom she had known for years. The doctor listened to his heart and said, “There is

Passage 2: My car just wouldn’t move any farther. It was complete dead, and I was a few
miles away from my home in that cold, wet night. I decided walk around a little

is which they can earn money. In many cases, students working to earn money for
their own use. Earning their own money allow them to buy anything as if they please.
They need not have to ask their parents for money or for permission to do things by
the money. And some students from the poor families may also save the money for their
college education or another purposes. However, some teachers and parents against this
idea because they are worry that part-time jobs will affect their study more or less.
Passage 4： Of all my teachers, Mr. Smith is one who impresses me most. Although he is 40
and ordinary, but he looks very young. And he is one of the most popular teacher in our
school. Comparing with other teachers, he pays more attention to his way of teaching.

Passage 5: One afternoon on my way to home, I stepped on something and fell heavy to the
ground. I stood up and found that it was the banana skin that caused my fall. I got very
angry and kicked it away. Suddenly I stopped and thinking, “If someone else steps on
it, they will also fall as me. I don’t want the same thing happen again.” So I quickly
went back to the place that the banana skin was. I picked it up and threw it into a
dustbin. While I got home, I told my parents what had happened. They praised myself.
And my mother said with a smile, “You have done all what you should do.”

advices that you have to pay attention. You can find out more about your destination

a chemical factory was built south of our school two years before. Large quantities of
poisonous gas was sent into the air and a large amount of waste water was put into the

delighting of all the students, the government has taken active measures protect our
surroundings and prevent them of being polluted. Now, as you can see it, our school

nine hours every night. Too much homework being given by school teachers is the main
cause. Another cause lies at students’ bad habits. Some students are absent-minded while

students have to get up earlier on weekdays to get to school which far away from home.
Experts think the amount of homeworks for the students should be cut down. Beside,

Passage 3: While my twentieth birthday came, I was studying far away from home. In order to
celebrate such important day with my parents, I wrote a letter, on which I thanked them
because they had taken much trouble to bring myself up. And at the end of the letter, I
express my love for them. Later, mother told me that when she read the letter, tears
were filled her eyes. But father appeared very cool. I know clearly that being a man with
little words, my father prefers to showing his love for me in a silent way. Now as they
gradual grow old, I really hope they can stay health and happy.
