In March of 1959, he was admitted to Oxford University and graduated 3 years later. In July 1965, Hawking married 21-year-old Jane Wild who was a former student of Hawking’s. In 1979 he became a professor of mathematics at the University of Cambridge. In 1998, Hawking published his famous work A Brief History of Time.
