This reminds me of my experience when I was eight years old. I was left alone at home, doing my homework when an old man knocked at my door and begged for food. He was in rags and tired, obviously coming from a long distance. I hesitated at that moment because my family was not well off. But when I saw his worried look, I filled his bowl with rice. He was very thankful to me and said that I would be rewarded for my kind heart. Many years have passed, I still well remember that I have ever given a hand to an old man who was in need. Nowadays, some people claim to have been cheated out of money when they try to offer help to others. However, I still insist that the acts of kindness should be encouraged. If everyone is willing to hold out their hands to those in trouble, there will be fewer problems in this world.
