Mrs. Smith was unable to fall sleeping at night and was very tired during the day
to do anything, even the simple things that she was used to enjoy doing. She had
headaches more often, it prevented her from reading or watched TV. The more she
thought about her conditions, the more worse she felt. At last she went to see her doctor,
whom she had known for years. The doctor listened to his heart and said, “There is
nothing seriously with you, and I accept the fact that you don’t feel well. Now I’ll give
you some pills that will help. Come tomorrow morning and tell me how you felt.”
Passage 2:
My car just wouldn’t move any farther. It was complete dead, and I was a few
miles away from my home in that cold, wet night. I decided walk around a little
before accepting I’d have to spend the night in the car. Maybe I can find a telephone.
Actually, I didn’t have to walk far before I found the small house standing in a field
with a light shone from the sitting room. I knocked at the door and was delighting when
a pleasant old man opened the door but listened to my story carefully. He said he had no
telephone and that it wasn’t any within walking distance, but the old man who offered to
go to repair my car.
Passage 3:
There are advantages for students to work while study at school. One of them
is which they can earn money. In many cases, students working to earn money for
their own use. Earning their own money allow them to buy anything as if they please.
They need not have to ask their parents for money or for permission to do things by
the money. And some students from the poor families may also save the money for their
college education or another purposes. However, some teachers and parents against this
idea because they are worry that part-time jobs will affect their study more or less.
